Christmas Writing Assignment for Novel or Short Story - Character Santa Letter: This creative and fun Christmas writing assignment will allow you to bring the Christmas spirit into your middle and high school English classes while also meeting curriculum standards. Students will take on the role of a character from any novel or short story and write Santa a letter. In the letter, they will tell him what they want for Christmas, choosing items that represent their character! They can also make a Christmas wish or ask Santa for advice about a situation they faced in the reading.
